About the Role
The Health & Safety Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting inspections, developing safety procedures, and ensuring training is conducted for staff. Key tasks include monitoring safety practices, facilitating contractor coordination, and investigating incidents to improve overall safety performance.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related fields
- NEBOSH IGC certification in Health & Safety
- Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (preferred)
- Certifications in fire safety, first aid, and H&S risk assessment (advantageous)
Required Experience
- 3–4 years of experience in a health and safety role
- Industrial sector experience is preferred
Essential Skills
- Strong knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety regulations and practices
- Ability to conduct training sessions and clearly communicate safety policies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
